For mass hysteria, see red fever

Re: Analysing the protests", Letters, November 13.

I managed to get hold of Mr Pola’s Dictionary and there it was. “Mass Hysteria (n): something that energises the other side, while your side acts in a calm and rational way.”
If you want mass hysteria, just see the mob’s reaction to red-shirt leaders Jatupon and Arisman whipping up their hooligans to burn the city, when they let loose the dogs of war. Or, better still, watch any of the speeches of their illustrious leader, which start with “We poor people”. I could barely stop myself from standing up, doing the goose-step and shouting “Seig Heil, Mein Fuehrer!”
