You can always count on celebrity weddings to hit new heights of splendour. Channel 7 stars Siwat "Cee" Chottichaicharin and Amy Klinpratum have got a terrific head start for their wedding early next year with an album of pre-nup photos taken not in the n

When a few of the pictures made the rounds online, people just assumed the lovebirds are planning the wedding of the century, but Amy insists it won’t be all that extravagant. “We’re very careful about the budget and we won’t exceed it,” she says. They just lucked out with the photos in the Big Apple.
They happened to be in New York for an eight-day visit “and luckily Kit Benjarongkul [son of millionaire Boonchai] was there too, and he offered to take some photos for us.” Amy’s friend Morakot Kittisara, who’s also called Amy, was on hand as well and she helped with the makeup and hairstyling. Kit got great pictures of them strolling around Central Park and down by the East River with the Brooklyn Bridge as the backdrop.
“I wasn’t wearing my wedding gown in all the photos, though – we wanted them to look natural,” says Amy, trying to make it all sound very humble. But she and Cee plan to have another set of shots done in Thailand too! If you’re following this yarn closely, you can see that would be two allotments of pre-wedding photos, which is roughly one more collection than most humble people have.
And yet Amy is adamant that the wedding itself will be modest. “We’ll probably announce the date later this year. Nothing is ready yet except my dresses for the engagement and the wedding,” she says.
They still have to decide on a hotel and a theme, so no hints as yet about what to buy them as a wedding gift. Something to consider, though: We’ve heard that the Brooklyn Bridge is often for sale.

Opal’s to-do list is slimmer
Meanwhile actress-TV host Panisara “Opal” Pimpru has just about finished preparing for her own “not-that-grand” wedding next April 6 at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok. What she has left to worry about is her figure.
She says so, not us. Husband-to-be Smith “Oak” Arayakul agrees with us and has told her she looks fine and doesn’t have to change a thing, but Opal is determined to lose a little weight and improve her complexion. She’s something of an expert in dermatology, so who’s going to argue?
Opal is now hurrying to complete all of her TV commitments so she can focus on self-improvement. “I want to lose weight and go for a body scrub,” she says. “I think I look chubby and I want to shed some kilos before the final fitting for my wedding gown.”
Ah, yes, the wedding gown. Any hints? “It’ll be a chic style, by a Thai designer.”
