Vuthithorn “Woody” Milintajinda had sent out teasers for Sunday’s instalment of his “Woody Talk” TV show, promising that further “secrets” about Janie would come to light. It turned out, though, that the show was more about her friendships with the ladies who make up her “Angel Gang”. Uniting the gang was quite a coup in itself for Woody.
“It’s so difficult to get all of you on one show!” he told Janie, Nana Rybena Intachai, Alisha Laisatruklai, Paula Buttery, Cris Horwang and Virithipha “Woonsen” Yamnarm. In fact he’d spent almost two years trying to make it happen.
Having the whole crew on the show reaffirmed that the sisterhood remains intact. During the Janie “scandal” – when it seemed like she was intimate with a political hotshot who was already married – there were reports that some of her friends were displeased. Nana was the only one who attended Janie and Ae’s hastily arranged wedding, so there were doubts about the old gang’s solidarity.
They made it clear on Woody’s first show of 2014 that it’s all water under the bridge anyway and Janie obviously felt more comfortable talking about things – such as Nana being the only pal at the wedding. It turns out that all the others were booked up with work. And Janie pointed out that the wedding took everyone by surprise, including her – Ae only proposed the day before.
“You guys know I’m not the kind of person who always wanted to get married, but with him, I felt like that he was the right one, someone I could rely on.” The other girls concurred that they always thought she’d be the last in their group to wed. They knew Janie was seeing someone and was apparently in love – they just didn’t know who the guy was.
So, like everyone else, they followed Janie’s posts on Instagram and Twitter and wondered why she was using the hashtag #MBHJA on her photo captions. The “secret code” earned 27,000 mentions on Twitter that August. As of Sunday, her friends still hadn’t figured it out.
So, Woody asked, what did it mean? Well, Janie said, it stood for “My better half Janie Ae”.
And there you have what must surely be the final riddle of the Janie-Ae wedding saga deciphered. All that remained on “Woody Talk” was for the girlfriends to say how much they supported Janie and for Janie to say how much she appreciated it. “Since getting married I haven’t had the chance, so, now that we’re all here, I’d like to apologise for not telling you guys in advance, and I’d also like to thank you all for your friendship!”
And then everybody started bawling their eyes out.
