TONIGHT’S THE big white night for all the folks who’ve been counting the days to “Heineken Presents Sensation: Wicked Wonderland Thailand” at Bitec in Bang Na.
The organiser, Sensation, has promised another sensual journey into a magical world, where a modern fairytale comes true amid peeps through keyholes and mysteries unveiled once the doors are opened. For those willing to lose themselves in curiosity, the party will be full of rewards and surprises.
More than 17,000 people are expected to crowd onto the massive dance floor to be immersed in electronic music designed to tease the imagination amid extravagant lighting and sound created by a team of professionals from the Netherlands.
All through the night, cutting-edge house sounds by celebrated DJs, hand-picked specially for the event, will fuel the dancing.
The evening starts with Mr White, without whom there would be no Sensation. The pale-faced resident DJ knows how to set the mood and create the right vibe with subtle house and techhouse grooves. He’s been travelling the world with Sensation for years.
Duo Ben Prok and James Fitch from Brighton, England, together for six years now, have firmly cemented their place in the house scene. Releasing tracks on the biggest labels, collaborating with heavyweight DJs Mark Knight and Roger Sanchez and remixing Moby and Orbital, these guys are dropping jaws everywhere.
And Mark Knight himself will be on hand too. His combination of big-room progressive house with techy grooves is adored around the globe. Knight is also head honcho at popular label Toolroom, where he commands respect for his production skills and his mega-hit “Man with the Red Face” became one of Beatport’s best-selling tracks ever.
The magnificent twins Nervo are touring with Sensation for the first time. They write, produce and make serious waves on both shores of the Atlantic with their infectious blend of chunky, sexed-up electro-house. Nervo’s style is bold and sassy, with in-your-face beats that bring dancers to its knees.
From the Netherlands come Sick Individuals, whose music, released on Axtone, Spinnin’, Armada, EMI and Interscope, has been supported by every top jock out there. These youngsters spend hours in the studio cooking up amazing tunes that eventually everyone hears.
Lastly, there’s Mc Gee, also known as Lee Grant, a Sensation regular known for his perfect timing. In addition to performing at festivals around the planet, he often accompanies Fedde le Grand on tour. Gee always knows how to read the Sensation crowd.
Thailand is the third and final country of the second Asian tour for Sensation after South Korea and Taiwan. The Bangkok party had been scheduled for tomorrow but switched because of the election. This is great news for anyone who couldn’t get tickets when they originally went on sale because quite a few people can’t attend tonight and are selling their passes.
Sensation Wicked Wonderland Thailand is tonight at Bitec in Bang Na.
It’s officially sold out but watch for ticket re-sales at www.Sensation.com/thailand.
You’ll need your ID and you have to wear white.
