A tin-pot democracy run by dictators

Re: "Elections without checks and balances aren't democracy", Thai Talk, March 13.

I agree with Suthichai Yoon that Thai politicians have been using “the right of the majority” to ram through legislation and regulations that serve the powers-that-be and sacrifice the country as a whole.
I would even add that, in today’s Thailand, factionalism and intimidation of the minority are common occurrences.
Democracy is just the name of the game here.
