See One Direction live in the UK by taking part in a contest organised by Click Radio
There’s great news for fans of boy band One Direction – no, the lads are not coming to Thailand – thanks to a fun contest just launched by Thai Airways International and Click Radio that will see two winners jetting off to London in June to see the band at Wembley.
Fans should tune in to 98.5 Click FM and Get 102.5 Bangkok’s Sound or go to their Facebook pages (Facebook.com/Get1025 or Facebook/985ClickFM) to find out all the details. The essence of the competition involves setting a new Facebook profile picture and ensuring an item related to One Direction is also in the photo plus telling the radio stations why you should join the trip. The two winners will travel to London from June 4 10.
The contest was launched recently at Terminal 21 with those who turned out for the press conference going home with a limited edition One Direction cloth bag after registering their interest.
DJ M (Thanes Luangworachatkul) and DJ Belle (Rinrata Intamara) were responsible for welcoming the guests and media, as DJ Now (Methawee Pichetchaiyut) and DJ Versailles (Nanthanach Phuakjaikaew) served as the MCs.
Thachaya “Keng The Voice” Pratumwan entertained with One Direction covers “Best Song Ever” and “Live While We’re Young” while Nipaporn “Zani AF6” Thititanakarn performed “One Way or Another” and “What Make You Beautiful”.
One Direction, consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition “The X Factor” in 2010. Propelled to international success by the power of social media, One Direction's three albums, “Up All Night”, “Take Me Home” and “Midnight Memories”, broke several records, topping the charts of most major markets.
Their achievements include four Brit Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards among many others. They were proclaimed 2012’s “Top New Artist” by Billboard. One Direction became the first band in US Billboard 200 history to have their first three albums debut at number one.
The deadline for the activity is April 20 and the 20 qualifiers will be announced on FB on April 25. Two lucky winners will be announced on April 30 after passing an interview.
