The world-famous lingerie brand sets up shop in Bangkok
LADIES, REJOICE! After decades of being relegated to small corners in department stores, Victoria’s Secret, the world’s leading retailer of sexy lingerie, now has its very own flagship store on the first floor of Siam Center.
It celebrated the opening on Tuesday with a red-carpet party to introduce an assortment of flirty lingerie, fashion accessories and cosmetics, all of them designed to get girls – and savvy guys – to part with their hard-earned baht.
The new boutique, which boasts two dynamic storefronts, is glamorous and contemporary with black-and-white images of Victoria’s Secret models adorning the walls and a video wall screening Victoria’s Secret Supermodel footage.
For now, the shop is divided into three zones, with the first devoted to the line’s fragrances including Bombshell Forever Eau de Parfum and Body Lotion created from extracts of boysenberry, lavender and pamplewood.
Noir Tease perfume, body mist, body lotion and body wash is a delicious blend of black vanilla, frozen pear and blooming gardenia while the long-lasting Angel Dream Eau de Parfum and Lotion nourishes with lace violet, iridescent currant and sheer sandalwood.
Over in the fashion zone is a range of printed scarves, smart sunglasses, leather wallets and handbags in black, red and hot pink. You’ll also find cosmetic cases, leather EW totes, iPhone sleeves and passport holders in tiger stripes and sweet-pink beauty bags with candy stripes.
And then, there’s the lingerie. Among the best sellers are the lacy panties that come in a range of colours including red, pink, green, yellow, purple and orange as well as more basic black, beige and white.
