Saying it's all Thaksin's fault is not the full story

I wish to thank Robin Grant (July 4) for coming to my defence. As I've said before I'm convinced the letter sections in the English language press are being manipulated by people who have cynical motivations.
The other day I was looking at some anti-Thaksin newspaper letters I wrote years ago and I had to laugh out loud at the claim that I’m “pro-Thaksin”. But I believe – and I think Mr Grant does too – that both sides need to do some serious soul-searching and come to grips with mistakes they made which led to Thailand’s current problems.
But people who seem to be saying in effect that “my side is perfect and it’s all Thaksin’s fault” are not helping the cause of reconciliation and are making matters much worse.
