The road to health

AIS takes its privileged customers on a trip to Phuket

Thailand’s largest mobile phone operator, Advanced Info Service (AIS) recently rewarded its customers by taking them, along with a few celebrities and reporters, on a three-day junket to the five-star Regent Phuket Cape Panwa.
A seafood lunch at the pier-side Laem Hin restaurant awaited the hungry travellers as they disembarked from the flight and they were happy to feast on grilled tiger prawns, steamed flower crabs, and roasted mantis shrimps with salt, before continuing along the road to Cape Panwa.
Sighs of ecstasy were heard as guests admired the new resort, which offer 105 rooms with private balconies, 35 pool villas, 48 suites rooms and 22 pavilions.
As the sun set, guests donned shirts and dresses with floral patterns for the “Hawaii & Beach” party, a fun affair that combined dinner and music. Among those enjoying the evening were ML Radeethep Devakula, ML Kathathong and ML Kwankamol Thongyai, Supanida Panyarachun, Onchuma and Chutima Durongdej, Pitipat Preedanont, and Tachanan Kittikul.
Actor Warinthorn Panhakarn also put in an appearance while Miss Thailand Universe 2009 Chutima Durongdej climbed up on stage and entertained with “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You”.
A trip to Phuket Aquarium was on the agenda for the next day and from there, the AIS guest boarded speed boats for Koh Raja Yai for snorkelling and Ao Khon Khae for swimming, before stopping off for another seafood feast at the island Raya Buri Resort.
Before flying back to Bangkok, everyone was treated to a session at luxury spa Amatara Health & Wellness and another delicious lunch, this time at Raya, located in an old Sino-Portuguese house.
