A group of designers, artists and illustrators come up with a new Absolute Siam collection for Siam Center
THE SELECTED, a multi-brand lifestyle store at Siam Center, has joined up with fashion brand Labyrinth to launch its latest Absolute Siam collection with six artists reflecting what gives them pride on funky scarves, clutches and totes.
Painter Chalit Nakpawan makes his feelings clear by incorporating the word ‘pride’ on a scarf and bag. Fashion designer Jitsing Somboon shows how much he loves his homeland on his “I’m Thai, And You?” bag and scarves by using a paper cutting technique to create a facial silhouette that resembles the map of Thailand.
Illustrator Wisut “Tum” Ponnimit gives life to his popular cartoon character Mamuang on his Stairs scarves while designer Hiroka “Vee” Limviphuvadh introduces her colourful “Blooming Frogs” that she says were inspired by her garden.
Illustrator Yosnant “Sunter” Vuthikornsombatkul proudly presents the “Birds Song” motif to represent his freedom in creating artworks and fashion icon Hathairat Charoenchaichana dresses up her sketched self-portrait character in “The Negative Native”.
Prices range from Bt450 for a tote bag, Bt1,450 for a clutch and Bt2,150 for a scarf.
