THE MET STORE

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store, or the Met Store as it’s usually called, has a stunning Art Colour Magic Watch collection focusing on timepieces adapted from celebrated treasures in the museum’s collection.

Among the highlights is the Jewelled Laurelton Hall Mosaic Watch, whose dial is based on the dining room of Laurelton Hall, the country estate of American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany. This was home to a large mantelpiece, essentially a floor-to- ceiling sheet of light-coloured marble adorned by three instrument faces set with blue mosaic, including one beautiful clock face, on which the Museum's watch is based. It boasts a rose gold overlay with Czech crystals, a mother-of-pearl and faux-mosaic face and a fine leather strap.

Echoing the lush colours of John Henry Dearle’s Compton wallpaper design, the William Morris Compton Square Watch uses two different shades of green as well as pink and blue pastels for the poppies and tulips on its floral face. It comes with an 18K gold overlay case and a leather strap. 

Mother will also love the Klimt Black Watch with silver overlay case and printed plastic band that is based on Gustav Klimt’s  printed textile in the museum’s collection. The timepiece is distinctive in its use of flat shapes and bold colours and incorporates folk art, geometric and architectural motifs and floral patterns.

PANDORA

Renowned Danish jewellery brand Pandora has a series of poetic statement pieces in precious metals symbolising the precious bonds of family. BATH&BLOOM

Jasmine has long been a symbol of Mother’s Day in Thailand and Bath & Bloom makes the most of this by launching a special collection of skin care products with a refreshing jasmine fragrance. The collection features shower gel, body lotion, body scrub, massage oil to hand cream, body mist, aroma oil or room essence with a scent that’s sweet and light to calm the mind and raise the spirits.  The shower get and body lotion are made from jasmine flower and aloe vera extracts and natural rice bran oil for a smooth and soft skin.
