The experiment composes two groups of robots. Each group is very sophisticated in the sense that they can learn from their own experience. In fact both groups of these robots are complex learning machines.
In our experiment we allow one group freedom of speech, freedom of access to information and freedom of movement. Our other group faces restrictions on free speech, access to information and freedom of movement. Now we place these two groups of robots in similar environments and observe the subsequent effects on the two like environments.
I’m not trying to insult anyone’s intelligence with over-simplification, but everyone’s prognosis of the results of this experiment will be the same. Why is it, that when it comes to human beings, people are unable to allow their own kind a requisite modicum of respect and freedom.
This is a tough question and I don’t claim to know the complete answer. But my guess would be that socialised humans have acquired so much self-doubt and insecurity, they are rendered useless when it comes to supporting their fellow man.
