Democracy, the Scottish way

Recent letters have congratulated the Scots for their acceptance of the democratic process despite the defeat of the independence campaign.

My first letter after the coup mentioned that the second problem with the sham Western democracy model was that the counting of votes nearly everywhere is “fixed”. (The first problem being the idiocy of giving a billionaire industrialist with 100,000 employees just one vote, when a half-wit street sweeper gets the same.)
We now read in the press that more than 100,000 Scots have demanded a recount after videos purportedly showing evidence of vote fraud went viral.
Several video clips appear to show sporadic examples of potential fraud, feeding into existing suspicions that the British establishment was prepared to go to any lengths to prevent Scotland from gaining independence from Westminster. One clip shows a woman appearing to place a number of “yes” votes on the “no” pile, while another – inadvertently filmed by a Sky News team – shows bundles of “yes” votes lying on a table designated for “no” votes.
Several observers have slammed the procedure as fraudulent, including the head of the Russia-aligned Association for the Protection of Electoral Rights, who asserted that “there were more yes votes during the vote count”. He went on to complain that the “no” campaign “resorted to every violation imaginable”. Another polling expert claimed that the voting procedure was “last century” and that it was “impossible to see” what was going on at the polling tables and that ballot boxes were “lying around … without any protection”.
After the alleged vote-fraud videos went viral, online petitions popped up, with tens of thousands rushing to advocate a recount.
Thailand, beware of the naive “democracy nuts”.
