Bedroom furniture from Tomato Kidz is safe, healthy and a total hoot
KIDS NEED a little fantasy in their lives to enrich the mind’s creative soil, so how about a bed for your little girl that looks like a princess’ royal carriage or a racing-car bed for the young man in the family?
The furniture firm Tomato Kidz, which has a showroom in Bangkok, will decorate children’s bedrooms with endless fantasies, says Rat Kosaidilok of Synergy House (Thailand), the official importer and distributor.
As well as the “dream character” beds, there are space-saving bunk beds and ergonomic study desks and chairs for ages three to – well, adult. Also on offer are all sorts of accessories for the room like lamps and picture frames and bedding with curtains to match.
The beds are designed and engineered to European standards, but then the fantasy fun begins. The bunk beds not only have ladders to scale to the top shelf but slides to come back down.
There are many interesting themes to choose from. Bunks are also ideal for small rooms because they let you “use the same floor space twice”, solving a problem for families that need to fit two kids into one room.
The durable pinewood bed is brilliant space-saving. And, when the kids grow up, the bunk bed can be converted into two full single beds.
Tomato Kidz uses Pinus sylvestris from Finland because of its great quality. It conveys a sense of lightness and simplicity. It’s hard enough to last decades and is environmentally friendly. So the product has a 10-year warranty.
“Safety is always our concern,” says Rat. “The metal holder ensures a safe climb and the wide steps are comfortable on the feet, and all the paint used is non-toxic. Everything we sell is thoroughly tested.
“I think kids learn a lot while playing creatively and that gradually builds into skill they can use for the rest of their lives.”
A new addition to the collection is the Intelligent Kids Study Station, fast becoming a top seller. The height of both the desk and chair can be adjusted to suit the user, and the price is quite affordable. The ergonomic chair helps maintain a good sitting posture and will even alleviate pain in the neck and back.
