Just when everyone thought that the rumour of her having a romantic relationship with Buakaw was down for the count, more “incriminating” photos appeared.
Nampetch can’t seem to keep clear of controversy these days. She posted on Instagram that she’d lost her mobile phone and told anyone who wants to reach her to either leave a message there or phone her manager at a number she provided. Except that she got the number wrong and an innocent bystander was suddenly deluged with errant calls.
That was a simple blunder, but Nampetch turned it into a major one by seeming completely oblivious that she’d caused someone a lot of trouble. She offered nothing in the way of an apology, and then people started wondering if she’d “lost” her phone on purpose, because all of a sudden a series of “leaked” photos appeared.
At least two of them are captures from a video-call Buakaw and Nampetch shared, showing them exchanging the “I love you” hand sign. Sarcastic comments aside about their dexterity in forming a sign with both hands and clicking “take photo” at the same time, this appeared to be proof that they were indeed a couple. Other pictures were taken on a merit-making visit to a temple, which is of course something else that amorous couples do.
Buakaw having insisted that there was no such relationship, the pals who run his Banchamek Gym’s Facebook page responded to this evidence by saying it was one of many, many relationships. As proof, they posted photos of him with all sorts of young women, one of whose bras he’s seen autographing (yes, while she’s wearing it).
Nice bra shot but unconvincing, the online masses decided. Nampetch seems to be the one poised for a knockout this time, her leaked images clearly showing that something serious had happened between them. The leaks appear to be her revenge after the boxer claimed he barely knew her.
One wise message to Nampetch from someone at Pantip.com, though: “You shouldn’t even care about him anymore!
Pramote finds his compass
LGBT people in show business learn early that revealing their sexual orientation can hamper their careers, even if the fans and media already “know”. There are occasional exceptions, folks who come out and continue thriving, like singers Pongsak “Aof” Rattanaong and Chalatit “Ben” Tantiwut.
But actor Pramote Sangsorn, a teen idol in the 1990s who’s now mainly a director, only now appears to be coming out. Even if not an outright admission that he’s gay, it was a clear enough indication – and a bit of a shock.
Talking to Sanook.com, Pramote acknowledged that he’s never married but said he’s been dating someone for five months. “I’m so nervous talking to you about this because I don’t do it very often,” he said. “Does she understand your lifestyle?” the reporter asked.
“How do you know it’s a she, not a he?” Pramote laughed. “I haven’t told you the person is a man or woman! But, yes, I do believe we understand each other.”
The reporter dug in. “So who exactly are you dating – a man or a woman?”
“Love is beyond sexuality,” he replied, “as long as we can get along well.”
