New lifestyle boutique Fill in the Blank welcomes its customers with hot coffee and delicious desserts

PART HOME decor and accessories store and part cafe, Fill in the Blank on Sukhumvit Soi 61 is the place to go for anyone who likes to relax while they shop.
Run by siblings Supawat and Supalak Mahaguna, both of whom earned their degrees in the USA, it’s located in a white-painted house near upmarket condo The Address and boasts lots of wood, comfy couches and a pleasing earth-toned decor.
The pair, who used to run a furniture store, realised the potential for unusual home furnishings back in 2011, when they showcased a collection of decorative items made out of Indian sackcloth and cotton at the Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fairs.
They opened Fill in the Blank in July and since then have done a roaring trade in simple lifestyle items,
many of which boast a proverb or thoughtful message, such as “Friendship is a plant we must often water”, “Little by little, little becomes a lot” and “Bicycles may change but cycling is timeless.”
They supplement the income from sales by offering aromatic brewed coffee and a selection of home-made desserts.
Their earth-toned products are functional, simple and easy to mix and match and are inspired by trees, animals and life in general. The shelves groan under a selection of laundry buckets, boxes, penholders, baskets, canvas totes and shopping bags in different sizes and designs that are coated with laminate inside, making them waterproof and more durable.
The store also offers a collection of small pincushions, embroidery frames and wooden boards as well as Badger organic skincare products from America.
