Today, for me, it’s history. Everyone will remember this auspicious moment and everyone will talk about us. I always said that working with the FIVB is a matter of change and opportunity. That’s why the AVC headquarters has been shifted from Beijing to Bangkok. I believe in Thailand and I believe in volleyball in Thailand. One of the most important things is that we are seeing the highest number of fans visiting the FIVB website. These are Thai fans, not Brazilians or Poles,” Graca said.
“I believe Thailand has the potential to help develop volleyball in Asia. From now, all 12 staff members at the AVC headquarters will have to work much harder to achieve that goal. They have to offer help and support to 65 affiliated member federations in Asia. I think the AVC needs around two years coordinating with all member countries, helping them and supporting them. Development of volleyball in Asia will be seen more clearly after this,” he said.
