Instead of tying the world up in tedious legal hassles over hacking, why doesn’t the US challenge North Korea to a moviemaking contest? To counter “The Interview”, let North Korea produce a movie satirising US President Barack (“Big Ears”) Obama. Then let both movies be posted on YouTube to await the judgement of the world. A worldwide vote could be held to determine the winner. If the North Korean film won, Obama would be obliged to send a year’s supply of Big Macs to Mr Kim. If “The Interview” won, Kim would have to send a year’s supply of kimchi to Mr Obama.
I feel confident that the US will win this contest. We Yankee gringo US devils have been criticised for many things in recent years: a foreign policy that some regard as too aggressive and others regard as too cowardly, double standards, hypocrisy, horrible race relations, you name it. But we do make pretty good movies.
Just trying to help avoid World War III,
