New charter must address education too

Thai adults today are so preoccupied with their own careers that they have less and less time for their children.

That is why many university graduates are at a loss on how to launch their careers or make plans for their own future. Too often children as young as eight or nine have to leave their families to get better schooling in big cities.
At the same time, the government must act urgently to reform the country’s education system so that better education will be available in the rural areas, and children upcountry need not stay away from their families. Lastly, the new constitution should include the younger generation’s participation too.
We should bear in mind that we are creating a better political system that will result in the happiness and prosperity for our posterity, not just
us.
