Illuminating eye gel from La Mer makes use of a "Miracle Broth"

RELIEF is at hand for your hard-working eyes in the form of the Illuminating Eye Gel, new from La Mer, the French cosmetics firm.
La Mer Thailand is calling it a “miracle” product and is enthusiastic enough that it recently hosted an “Illuminating Moments” dinner at the W Hotel for the launch.
Brand general manager Yaovaanong Chanawongse and Elca (Thailand) managing director Ampornpim Vajrabhaya introduced guests who’d been specially invited because they embody everlasting love and complement the La Mer concept of “Light up each other’s eyes”.
They included Premmanat and Yupapak Vajrabhaya, Leila Soontornvinate and Boonyapha Bencharongkul, Vatanika Patamasingh and Kornvipa Jotikasathira, Kwankao and Ploychan Svetavimala, Thananya Thanakitamnuay and Kongpat Jiramaneekul, Pumi Sarasin and Alena Piamkulawanich, Ingfah Dumrongchaitham and Chayanin Jongkolrattanaporn, and Nataporn Donavanik and Jutawan Krairiksh.
Guests had the chance to try the gel, which can be used day or night, whenever you feel or look tired.
La Mer Thailand also introduced its new ambassador, Pimdao “Mutmee” Panichsamai”, who ended the evening with a beautiful singing performance.
New too is a moisturiser collection that also uses Miracle Broth. They come in five different textures to meet your preference – Creme de la Mer, Moisturising Soft Cream, Gel Cream, Lotion and Oil Absorbing Lotion.
The trick to the Illuminating Eye Gel is how it “blurs and brightens” to soothe the eyes.
La Mer senior vice president Loretta Miraglia acknowledges in the release notes that it’s difficult to comprehend how these two functions occur simultaneously, since blurring means dimming and brightening means adding more light.
“With the Illuminating Eye Gel, we want to show that opposites can converge to create something truly amazing.” Miraglia finds the approach inspiring, since the eyes are the most attractive element of the face – and command the way we communicate with other people.
“There is amazing research going on right now on what our expressions and our eyes actually say,” Miraglia says. “They are a measure of emotions and truthfulness. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology there’s a great deal of research being done in biometrics – measuring eye movements – which tells a lot about what a person is thinking and feeling. And in the field of health, they’re finding the eyes to be a reliable and incredible source of information.”
La Mer says the Illuminating provides a surge of energy that instantly lights up the eyes, while at the same time strengthening delicate tissue for the long term. It uses a “healing Miracle Broth” to fight early signs of ageing and make the eyes look youthful and awakened.
More is being revealed in a series of videos starring successful couple Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl of New York. You can watch them leading their busy lives, the days punctuated by missed connections with one another. Finally they take the time to really look at each other.
