I have just returned from two weeks in Australia, so perhaps I missed the government's announcement of yet another tampering with the liquor laws.
At 9.30 in the morning I loaded up my supermarket trolley with more than 10 litres of alcohol, confident I could buy this amount at any time. But no! I was told the government had amended the regulations and I would have to wait until 11am to make my purchase.
Or perhaps the government did not make an announcement, but just quietly slipped this one through, like they do so many other things.
Either way, the score is party poopers one, boozers nil.
