Netanyahu understands democracy's weaknesses

Once again we see the US's naivete in its simplistic notion of democracy. With Israel, as with Thailand, Washington thinks that the right to vote is the be all and end all in achieving political stability. Even having witnessed Thailand's example of what

The US has globally broadcast its anger over Mr Netanyahu’s refusal to accept a Palestinian state. It has also complained that 4.5 million people under Israeli control have no right to vote.
Democracy has two main weaknesses; it is quantitative not qualitative (a numbers game) and it has no self-protection. Israel is fully aware of this. It realises that a vote against democracy by a fascist majority would destroy democracy itself. The US fails to grasp this fact, insisting its version of democracy be implemented. Democracy must defend itself, or die.
The democratic right to vote is one principle of democracy. It belongs only within the framework of a democratic form of government, such as exists in Israel.
Netanyahu has the courage to denounce and face his enemy: Obama has the same enemy but denies it even exists.
The whole world is under attack from a fascist ideology. Israel is right on the front line. Unless we all wake up, back Israel and overtly recognise the truth, democracy will be destroyed worldwide. It is happening under our very noses.
