Start a revolution with 3 |little words: mai sai tung

Each day the river of plastic bags littering the country is replenished. Convenience stores and street hawkers hand out these bags mindlessly.

Most of the time they aren’t even needed. How many millions do convenience stores hand out every day? Minutes later they are tossed in the street. Where do you think they go? They don’t just disappear. The ocean has plastic gyres the size of countries floating around. Stop for a second before you take your next bag, which will likely be in the next hour or so, and ask yourself if you actually need it. Convenience store owners, ask yourselves if you are part of the problem or part of the solution. Mai sai tung, krup/kha means “no bag, thanks”. Try it, and start a revolution.
