These shows have been enjoyed and praised by more than |155 million people in more than 300 cities.
“Cirque du Soleil Quidam Live in Bangkok 2015” is the first show in Thailand and indeed in Asia. It show will feature amazing special effects and comprise more than 100 talented performers as well |as performance equipment that requires up to two Boeing |747-400s to transport.
“Quidam” tells the story of Zoey, a young girl who is tired of her |parent’s behaviour and neglect. Her father is always reading the newspaper while her mother is constantly busy with the housework. She feels that something is missing and escapes to an imaginary world – the Quidam – where she meets strangers in the street.
Highlights include “Statue” |in which two strong, flexible performers move almost imperceptibly, assuming positions impossible without an impeccable sense of balance and “Aerial contortion |in silk” where a young woman becomes one with the column of red fabric that supports and |cradles her.
“Aerial hoops” sees two |performers use hoops attached to the ceiling to perform tricks; and “Spanish Webs” has artists flying over the stage, attached to trolleys on the overhead tracks. In turns or as a group, they occasionally |perform a sudden drop, stopped only by the ropes looped around their waists or ankles.
