I praise the 14 pro-democracy students who are detained for their bravery. Out of 67 million Thais, there are only 14 who dare to stand up for the right to choose one’s government. I feel guilty for doing nothing.
Meanwhile, I sniggered when Eric Bahrt said that reading about the 14 students “reminded me of the letter I wrote last year.” What an anticlimax! I expected “reminded me of Chavalit Van’s letter”, Burin Kantabutra’s or somebody else’s. Can one remind one of oneself? By the way, it’s nice to hear from Eric, the high priest of veganism, without sermons on veggie stuff.
