Flash mob 'busts out' for Sabina
The lingerie maker unveils its Doomm Doomm bra with the help of actress Ice Preechaya
SPINNING HEADs at Parc Paragon outside Siam Paragon recently was a sudden flash of “prettiness” as actress Preechaya “Ice” Pongthananikorn led a flash mob of 50 lovely young ladies through a dance routine to promote Doomm Doomm, the latest brassiere from Sabina.
The girls were fully clothed, mind you (well, more or less), but the event’s focus was definitely on the bust line.
Ice, star of the hit romantic comedy movie “I Fine, Thank You, Love You”, is the new presenter for Sabina, which has been among Thailand’s best-known |underwear brands for more |than 50 years.
“Women today pay more attention to image and want their undergarments to be tight-fitting – it’s part of becoming more self-confident,” explained Boonchai Puntunamporn, the firm’s chief executive.
“For women who would like their breasts to stand out more, we designed the Doomm Doomm bra. With moulded cups and wider straps, it makes breasts look sexier.”
The marketing campaign, “Doomm Doomm Mai Naeb Sanit Cheewit Dee Dee”, is geared to Ice’s debut as a presenter. Boonchai noted that she has all “the characteristics of the new-generation woman – beautiful, clever, up to date and self-confident”.
For her part, Ice said she was “proud to get the chance to represent all women who are attentive and meticulous in selecting clothing that suits |them best”.
Shapeless bras do nothing for a woman’s self-esteem, she pointed out, so the Doomm Doomm can be a great help, and it can also be mixed and matched with any attire.
“It helps us look sexier,” she said.
Launch emcee Puttachat “Tui” Pongsuchat also joined in the dancing, adding comedy to the routine with some truly funny movements.
