A job half done with impeachment

Re: "Decision on impeachment of 248 ex-MPs 'may not have big impact'", Politics, July 27.

In practical terms replenishing Parliament with sisters, cousins, uncles and aunts of the banished few will be straightforward. A physical examination of the neck muscles to make sure they can nod through anything the government proposes is all that is required.  The defendants should cop a plea regarding the other bills nodded through in the same parliament to make sure
they cannot be doubly impeached.
The real impact will be the reaction of fiscally challenged “fighters for democracy” and the three-fingered brigade.
