The courts alone should deal with Yingluck

If she is indeed guilty, I have no problem with ex-PM Yingluck Shinawatra's assets being confiscated as provided for by law, but it must be done by court order, not an administrative one issued by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

For the sake of reconciliation, everyone must see that we have rule of law, impartially administered without fear or favour. General Prayut is certainly not neutral in this matter, and hence his administrative order will be viewed, perhaps rightly, as nothing more than victor’s justice. It will also make reconciliation next to impossible.
Yes, without an administrative order, the court might not reach a verdict before the two-year statute of limitations expires, but Prayut knew of the statute when he grabbed power 17 months ago, so why didn’t he file charges then?
Yes, if Yingluck thinks the order is unfair, she can appeal to the Administrative Court. If that’s a rationale to issue orders rather than going through the courts, why not do away with the lower courts entirely, and just issue orders in all appealable cases?
PM Prayut, justice must not only be done, but be seen to be done. Stick to the courts, please, rather than driving us further apart.
