When exchanges get amusing, educational

I learn, but sometimes am amused by some of the expatriates’ letters. It is a mixed lot of excellence, interesting, snooty and downright insulting and ridiculous.

I enjoy all of them because I have reached a stage in seeing diversification as the beauty of life.
I used to ponder why some of the letters were published. I was eventually cleared of the reason as explained by an expatriate from Norway that it must have been the editor’s wish to show how shallow some expatriates can be.
Fortunately, your Letters column has less thrash than the other, but plenty of input from expatriate writers that boosts one’s intellect.
