If I were Thaksin Shinawatra I wouldn’t hesitate to flee for a nanosecond. Prisons in Thailand are twilight zones where strange deaths can happen. We’ve heard of high-profile prisoners dying from a rare form of blood infection, falling while showering and choking themselves to death.
Who knows, if incarcerated, Thaksin might die by strangling himself with a cordless phone.
