Kennedy’s triumph, or humiliation for America?

Would Eric Bahrt and Songdej Praditsmanont please read up on the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Firstly, the US secretly had Jupiter strategic missiles in Turkey and Italy aimed at the Soviet Union.
Second, the Soviets put missiles in Cuba in a bid to get US missiles out of Turkey and Italy, a trade-off, and the Soviets agreed to take the missiles out of Cuba.
Third, as one source has it, “Secretly, the US also agreed that it would dismantle all US-built Jupiter [missiles], which were deployed in Turkey and Italy against the Soviet Union but were not known to the public.”
Conclusion: the Soviets won, while people in the White House were peeing their pants (but in secret, of course).
