Bagged with back-to-back wins from the Indian Open and Malaysian Open, the world no 2 displayed high quality of badminton play to beat the Japanese to line up a clash with Chinese Sun Yu on Sunday.
She is one match away from becoming the first woman to make a hat-trick in as many weeks. The Thai will seek to underline her supremacy over Sun whom she beat 21-19 18-21 21-17 in the Thailand Masters in February.
“Tomorrow I will play Sun Yu whom I beat in the Thailand Masters this year. It will be my 15th consecutive match and I will try to win. I would ask all fans to lend me support and root me to win triple title in three weeks. If I win there’s a chance that I’ll become the world No 1,” she said.
