The Thai pair will take on Soares, this year’s Australian Open winner this year with Jamie Murray, and Milo who used to be No 1 doubles player in the world last year.
“It’s a very tough draw. We are quite excited to play home team and Grand Slam champion. Our game plan is try not to make mistake. If we make early mistakes, they will carry on with the momentum and give us no chance,” Sonchat said.
“The first four games will be tough for us. We will be excited and have some pressure and they will have no fear. We need to study their game, try to stay with them and wait for opportunity,” he added.
Sanchai said: “But anything can happen. We played Milo eight years ago but he is now a better player. At this point, we have to give everything we have out there.”
Their doubles match is either on Saturday or Sunday.
