Thai Rowers Hope for the Better in Repechage

Thai rowers have to make amends in the repechage after dismal finishes in the rowing singles sculls heat competitions on Saturday.
In the women’s singles sculls at the Lagoa Satdium, forty-two year-old Phuttharaksa Neegree timed 9:17.95 minutes to finish fourth in heat 4 and at 24th overall, falling to make the top 18 cut.
Jaruwat Saensuk clocked 7:25.06 minutes in the men’s singles sculls to come fourth in heat No 1 and 22nd overall.
Both will have to compete in the repechage which will select only top four rowers in each event to compete in the next round.
