THAI FASHION brand Pitchana is welcoming the autumn/winter season with the Modern Marie collection, inspired by the historical comedy-drama film Marie Antoinette.
The designs evoke a dream of being in the elegant Palace of Versailles and reflect the beauty of French arts from the late 1700s.
Creative director Pitchana Ekachai uses pastel shades, ruffles, corset lacing, lacework, pleats and ostrich feathers to create a perfect combination of modernity and sex appeal. The key looks consist of dresses, jumpsuits and evening gowns, from coquettish sunrise-to-sunset ensembles to daring after-dark choices.
A white, figure-hugging knee-length dress exposes just the right amount of skin with a daring deep-plunge neckline for a sensual tease, intertwined by lacing through punctured eyelets as in the traditional corsets.
