Singha extends Raikkonen deal

FORMER world champion Kimi Raikkonen will continue to be the brand ambassador of Boon Rawd Brewery.

The Ferrari driver, who first signed the contract in 2015, has extended the deal until 2018.

The Finn will engage in the company's promotional activities both in the Kingdom and overseas and also wear a helmet and a jacket with the Singha logo on it while racing.

Voravud Bhirombhakdim the vice managing director of Boon Rawd Trading Co, said the agreement shows the involvement of the company in motor sports, that include Scuderia Ferrari, Motor GP, GT Championship, Super GT and GT Asia.
Today, Raikonnen will take part in the Singha Junior Kart Cup at the Motor Sports Land in Bangkok. A total of 14 young drivers will receive tips from the former F1 champion. 
Several top racers in the country such as Sandy Stuvik, Trin Sritrai, "Bank" Kantasak Kusiri and Kittipol Pramote Na Ayuddhaya will share their experience.
"Thailand is one of the countries where there is a solid foundation for motor sports. Long term support is essential as it will benefit young drivers wishing to pursue a career in it," Raikkonen said.
