Syria and the mainstream media conspiracy

Eric Bahrt and others seem to have fallen for the mainstream media narrative on Syria, which avoids talking about any terrorist group there other than the Islamic State. They are very much alive, however, and the biggest of them all is an al-Qaeda offshoot – the al-Nusra Brigade (though it recently changed its name). It is al-Nusra that the Syrian army and its allies, including Russia, are trying to dislodge from Aleppo. The media, however, make it sound as if Bashar Assad and Vladimir Putin are fighting against hospitals and children. 
A so-called moderate opposition has been fighting shoulder to shoulder with their jihadist brothers for years, and one of the reasons the latest ceasefire in Aleppo didn’t take hold was that they were required to separate themselves from al-Nusra. On the ground, however, the opposite happened – they closed ranks instead, and even a US State Department spokesman admitted as much on September 30. He blamed it all on the Russians, of course.
