
Co-organised by the Thailand Extreme Sports Association (TESA) and Singha Corporation, the tournament will be hosted in the Kingdom for the first time. A total of five categories: slalom classic, slalom battle, slalom speed, slide battle, slalom pair and slide battle will be included in the event.
“Hosting this international event is part of the TESA plan to promote the sport and develop the skills of our athletes,” said TESA president Piti Bhirombhakdi. “Our athletes can acquire experience through participation in the tournament which features a host of world class athletes.”
Ptiti also said that the Opening Ceremony, due at 6pm on November 18, will allow all participants to take part in a ceremony to pay homage to the late His Majesty the King Bhumibhol.
Kanchanok Sawngsri , slalom battle runner up from the last week’s Asian Roller Skating Championships in Lishui , China and girls’ slalom battle bronze medalist Lalida Mokkharat arfe the two local main hopes taking actions in the tournament.
