THAI FUTSAL ace Suphawut Thueanklang enjoyed a winning start to his career at Iranian side Mes Sungun FSC by playing his part in a 5-2 win over Melli Haffari in the Iranian Futsal Super League.

Joining the 2015 Iranian Super League runners-up on a four-month contract from Thailand Futsal League giants Chonburi Blue Wave, Suphawut, who reportedly earns a handsome Bt300,000 per month, made his bow in a Mes Sungun shirt as they secured an impressive victory in their ninth league match.

After the game, the 27-year-old, arguably the most talented futsal player the Kingdom has ever produced, posted a photo of him celebrating the result with his club team-mates in the dressing room, captioned “Good game today win 5-2” on his Instagram account (suphawut_9).

The picture has attracted more than 10,000 likes and many posted comments wishing him good luck in his third stint overseas following spells with another Iranian side Persepolis Behzist in 2011 and Spain’s Santiago Futsal earlier this year.

Two months ago in Colombia, Suphawut played a pivotal role in helping Thailand make the first knock-out round of the Fifa Futsal World Cup for the second consecutive time after achieving the feat at home in 2012.

He failed to navigate the country past the last-16 round following a bitter 13-8 extra time loss to Azerbaijan but Suphawut earned personal accolade after his audacious strike in his side’s 8-5 victory over Cuba in the group stage was voted by fans around the world as the goal of the tournament.

It was the second time in a row that the Thai striker won such award after his spectacular effort in Thailand’s 3-1 win over Costa Rica in their opening group match four years ago. Mes Sungun fans will hope that the Thai will score such spectacular goals during his stint.
