Doubles Tennis Star Sanchai Turns New Dad.
Thai No 1 doubles player Sanchai Ratiwatana became a new dad on Saturday after his wife Thipvadee delivered their first baby girl this morning at Samitivej Sukhumwit Hospital.
Sanchai named his first child “Timethip” (meaning a great lady) who was born at 8.08am on Saturday. The infant weighs 3.33kg and is 50cm long.
“I am super excited as I have been waiting for her for a long time. I have been studying a lot on how to take care of a baby but I have no idea how good I will be at this job,” said Sanchai who ended his season a bit earlier in order to be with his family. His elder brother Sonchat is still playing in Challenger events but with a different partner.
“I’d love my girl to have a career in sports like me. But in the end it’s still up to her,” added Sanchai who will start playing again in small ITF events in Hua Hin.
