Kanchanok Sawngsri and Lalida Mokkharat will lead the local challenge into the 10 th Inline Freestyle World Championships which starts on Friday at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.

Thailand Extreme Sports Association (TESA) secretary general Chaiyapat Chaturongkakul expected his athletes to yield medals despite the competitive nature of the tournament which draws a host of world class extreme sports athletes.

“Over the past few months, our athletes have been training hard to get ready for the tournament. We have potential athletes like Kanchanok and Lalida who have been showing good results this year and should produce medals for the country,” said Chaiyapat.

Slalom skater Kanchanok won two bronzes from the World Inline Freestyle in Italy this year and from the Asian Roller Skating Championships in Lishui , China two weeks ago. The up-and-coming Lalida finished third on the podium in the girls’ slalom battle also from the Asian Roller Skating Championships.
