Is there really enough capacity on the streets and sois of central Pattaya for even more people and their cars – or the public traffic more condos and hotels will generate?
Are the city planners blind to what we ordinary people see? There is no space left for more people and vehicles. The area is already more than full. I suppose City Hall calculates traffic in more scientific ways, but for a stroller who see it all with his bare eyes, it is hard to understand why more condos and hotels are permitted.
Also, the city recently chased motorcycle renters away from Beach Road, but they are all back again, occupying vast segments of the roadside and behaving threateningly if you try to park on their turf. Those guys are bad ambassadors for Thai tourism. Throw them out!
