Bernie and the backlash against the 1960s 

I have heard all manner of compliments paid to Bernie Sanders by all manner of people. Even Donald Trump said nice things about him. Bernie seems like a nice guy, but what was his platform? What did he want to do for America? Actually, it was identical to what liberals in the ’60s wanted to do – “Give the black people a break.”
Sorry Bernie, but they already did that. Busing to school to supposedly encourage better education. Job quotas to supposedly create employment opportunities. College grants and a plethora of laws forbidding white people from saying the wrong thing. 
“Give homosexuals a break.” Well, sorry, Bernie, but they already did that too. People don’t go around maligning or beating up homosexuals any longer, because there are all manner of hate laws to prevent it. Additionally, they have equal employment opportunities, parades and, best of all, can even get married now. 
“Equal pay for women.” The biggest fallacy perpetrated in America. All employers pay their employees based on merit and tenure. How can you have equal pay for everyone in a related position unless you resort to a communistic form of employment? Yet Bernie was advocating this too. I won’t go into his sympathetic remarks about illegal Mexican immigrants or the poor picked-on Muslims. 
Did Bernie miss the 1960s? Did everyone voting for him also miss the ’60s? I don’t know how they could have, because the ’60s were the catalyst for the eventual acceptance of Donald Trump in office.
