Trump apologists and their media conspiracy theory

Despite what the usual coterie of apologists might try to mug the press with, particularly regarding their normal specious conspiracy theories, this vital organ of information is emphatically not peddling its hard-won integrity to ignore the obviously clear and present danger that the demagogue Donald Trump embodies.  
There is however an evident lack of “integrity” when one apologist regurgitates the usual formulaic claptrap, much in the manner of JRR Tolkien’s Grimer Wormtongue. No consistency of probity there, then. 
As for making Machiavelli wince (now from whom was that plagiarised, one wonders?) it’s noticeable that no mass news media existed in anything like their modern form in old Niccolo’s day, so that point is effectively moribund. 
The media have thrown everything at Trump? If that idiot starts his infantile rants against his intellectual betters, big deal. If he can’t stand the heat, he should get out of the kitchen. The media are here to warn us about the plainly unfit-for-purpose president-elect. Long may they continue to do so.
