CNN coverage fair and reflected US popular vote

Re: “CNN ditched its neutrality to go after Trump”, Letters, December 1.

John Arnone appears to have confused CNN with Fox News or Rush Limbaugh when mentioning alleged bias regarding Donald Trump. He seems to have swallowed Trump’s blatant serial dissembling hook, line and sinker.
I thought CNN provided a decent service to its viewers by, for example, inviting a number of media, political, academic and military personalities to give their opinions. These invitees were a mixed bag of those who supported Trump and those who didn’t. So, in terms of fairness and impartially, CNN did exactly what Arnone implies it did not. I suggest that he actually visit the footage to get to the truth and avoid ill-advised conspiracy theories.
Arnone also took a cheap swipe at letter-writer Dr Frank, and having watched most of Trump’s calculated insults and outright lies directed at anyone who disagreed with him and even some who didn’t. I think the good doctor’s comments were entirely justified, as most right-thinking people (the US voting majority) would agree. It’s called speaking truth to power.
