Middle and lower classes gave Trump his win

Once again, John Arnone is spot on. CNN and the media at large wanted to see a free spirit like Trump fail big time and pulled out all the stops to make it happen.
Trump was careful in picking his enemies; the intellectual elite in Congress or out, regardless of which party, the press and particularly CNN and their analysis and experts.
He wanted them to open fire and gave them ample ammunition everyday. They provided billions in air-time to put him down.
The middle and lower classes responded by voting for the underdog who spoke in terms they understood. California and New York states gave Hillary a huge vote over Trump, about 12 million plus.
But the Electoral College evens the score when highly populous and rich states vote lopsided.
