Media hype of Trump’s Taiwan call damaging

A letter-writer claims that those of us who criticised CNN also ignored Fox News’ pro-Trump rhetoric. This is true, primarily because UBC does not include Fox News in its broadcasts. Why, I do not know, because they have the Fox sports and movie channels. Instead, we are treated nightly to the CNN propaganda broadcasts, the latest concerning Donald Trump accepting a congratulatory phone call from the president of Taiwan. Initially, the Chinese simply said they had no problem with it so long as the US continued to accept their “One China” policy. Unfortunately, because CNN droned on about it every 20 minutes every day, the Chinese press began to criticise Trump.
