Give us a break from CNN
CNN has spent the last few days outlining how damaging it would be to several US corporations to have a trade war start with China because of Trump.
I must ask why they go on about that and ignore the fact that last year the US had a trade deficit of US$29.7 billion or 40 per cent of its entire, worldwide trade deficit from, guess who – China.
This has been going on for years. Again, I must ask, do we really need China or any country that tries to dictate who we talk to? Further, I want to ask why CNN, a part of Time-Warner, an American Corporation, employs at least two-thirds of its news casters from the UK. And what a line up it is. We have the obnoxious Becky Anderson, the pompous Christiane Amanpour, the godfather of all nerds, Richard Quest, the man with the perpetual cod in his node, (cold in his nose), John Vause and his sidekick – the Trump hater Isha Sesay – and lastly, the baroness of boredom, Kristy Lu Stout. Couple that with its ongoing, (for around a year now) – specials on Africa (something everyone waits breathlessly for), and its anti-Trump campaign. I must make a public plea to UBC: Please give us Fox News!
