A night at the cinema

The homegrown Sherman Blu-ray player will keep you entertained for hours

A GREAT companion to the Sherman AV-Q5BT audio/video receiver, the Sherman DV-282 is a top Blu-ray player with USB and network playing functions. The player supports DVD discs of all zones and Blu-ray Zone A discs. It has coaxial, optical and HDMI outputs and the package comes with an HDMI cable.
The USB 2.0 port at the back takes a flashdrive or external hard drive of up to 2 terabytes and also supports large files in NTFS format. HD movies can equally be played in MKV format.
The DV-282 has a LAN port that connected to your home router can play music files, video files and photo files from all devices connected to stream servers or that support DLNA protocols. It can play MP3 files of bit rates from 112 Kbps to 320 Kbps too.
I tested the DV-282 with the Sherman AV-Q5BT AVR and the Samsung KS9000 TV. The Blu-ray player played HD movie sounds in DTS HD Mater Audio and Dolby TrueHD to the amplifier and the movies were smooth and very sharp.
The player has an intuitive menu to adjust its settings and to connect to the home server for playing movie and music files from a computer or external drive.
Sherman DV-282 has a suggested retail price of B4,990.
