Wonderkid Sittichok follows Chanathip to Japan
Chonburi FC starlet Sittichok Phaso arrived in Japan on Tuesday to join a pre-season training camp with his new club Kagoshima United.
The 17-year-old striker is the second Thai player to secure a move to Japan this year following national midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin’s much-publicised switch from Thai champions Muangthong United to J-League newcomers Consadole Sapporo on a season-long loan.
The Chonburi academy graduate, who joins the third-tier Japanese outfit on a one-year contract, was greeted by a contingent of local media ahead of joining up with his new teammates for a 10-day training camp at the Kyukamura Ibusuki National Park Resort in Kagoshima, on the far south of Japan.
Sittichok will be looking to make his debut for the club during three high-profile friendly matches lined up against J-League teams Sanfrecce Hiroshima, FC Tokyo and Kashiwa Reysol.
